A man who assaulted two police officers in Caernarfon has been jailed for twelve weeks.
Dewi Glyn Parry from Llandygai pleaded guilty following a disturbance in the Lon Y Bryn area on Monday night.
Caernarfon magistrates heard Parry (45) became aggressive towards the officers when they arrived at around 9pm. One officer was pushed to the ground and another had her wrist grabbed, causing swelling.
More officers turned up to help the pair and arrest Parry, who was taken into custody at Caernarfon police station.
He was swiftly charged and appeared in the court the following day, where he admitted the assaults.
Ian Roberts, district inspector for Gwynedd North at North Wales Police, said: "Parry’s actions against police officers who were only trying to carry out their duties were unacceptable."
"Assaults against emergency workers will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly."
