A man who racially abused a woman at Caernarfon bus station has been jailed.
Michael Williams approached the woman, who was with her children, and began shouting "go back to where you came from" and "you don't belong here" in the unprovoked incident on August 9th.
Police said it left the family feeling very distressed and upset.
Williams (36) of Dolfor, Pwllheli, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated harassment and breaching a sexual offences prevention order dating back to 2008.
Mold Crown Court heard the order had been put in place to prohibit Williams from approaching and harassing or intimidating women.
He was sentenced to two years and a month in prison and banned from contacting his victim for three years under a new restraining order.
After the hearing, District Inspector Ian Roberts of North Wales Police, said: "This was disgusting behaviour that was targeted at a woman because of her race."
“This will not be tolerated in Gwynedd and we will robustly deal with any incidents of hate crime.”
