A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash at Llanfachraeth.
A man has been arrested following the collision involving a white Triumph motorbike and a grey Jaguar I-Pace car on the A5025 on Tuesday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 7pm, but the male rider of the motorbike was pronounced deceased at the scene.
He has been named locally as Sean Chamberlain, a 60 year-old businessman from the Cemaes Bay area.
Police say his next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist family liaison officers.
In a brief statement on Facebook, his father John Chamberlain said: "It is with great sadness that I confirm the tragic loss of my son Sean, loving husband of Debbie and devoted father of Katy, Emma, Jack, and Ceri."
"Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time."
The man arrested at the scene remains in custody and the road is expected to remain closed until Wednesday morning while forensic experts investigate the crash.
Diversions are in place via B5109 from Llanynghenedl towards Bodedern and Trefor.
Sergeant Alun Jones from the Roads Crime Team at North Wales Police said: "I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family at this extremely difficult time."
"This collision is now being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision, and we are working to establish the full circumstances."
"We are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who has private CCTV, camera cerbyd, or doorbell footage that may have captured either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision, to please get in touch."
