An 82 year-old man has died following a house fire in Menai Bridge.
Emergency services were called to an address on Penmynydd Road in the Penhesgyn area at around 5.25pm on Sunday evening.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Bangor and Benllech were sent to the scene.
The body of a man was found outside the property and he was later pronounced dead.
The cause of the fire is unknown but an investigation is now underway and the local coroner for North West Wales has been informed.
Mike Owen from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of this gentleman at this difficult time."
“The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and is now subject to a joint investigation.”
The Welsh Air Ambulance, based at Caernarfon, also attended the fire along with police and ambulance crews.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson told MônFM: “We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, where the crew was supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit and an operations manager.”
“Advanced critical care support was provided by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter.”
