A court has heard a Pwllheli man hid in his former girlfriend's home for more than six hours in a standoff with police.
Philip Blakemore breached a domestic abuse protection order (DAPO) after he threatened to shoot a man, who he had accused of breaching his grandparent's home
The 30 year-old from Y Ffor was jailed after he pleaded guilty to two charges, including sending a "grossly offensive" communication.
On Saturday 16tth May, Blakemore phoned a man and made threats to shoot his brother, before sending a photo of a gun to the man's sister, which left the siblings fearing for their lives.
Police were alerted and officers found Blakemore at his ex-partner's address, where he had been banned from entering under a DAPO.
Armed officers contained the address, where Blakemore had caused damage, but he refused to co-operate with police, throwing glass bottles towards them and holding a knife.
After a six-hour standoff, officers finally entered the address and detained Blakemore in the early hours of Sunday 17th.
At Llandudno magistrates court, he was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for breaching the protection order and a further two weeks for making threats.
District Inspector Iwan Jones of North Wales Police said: "Blakemore’s reckless and selfish actions show his disrespect towards the justice system by breaching the DAPO imposed on him to protect a vulnerable person from harm."
"His refusal to co-operate with officers then prevented emergency services from attending other jobs to assist people in need of assistance."
"We will not tolerate this behaviour and will continue to pursue those who seek to cause a nuisance in our communities."
