A Gwynedd man who spat at police officers has been jailed for six months.
Llandudno magistrates heard Dylan Parry Jones went onto urinate inside a police van and damage a cell while he was held in custody on Monday.
The 30 year-old, of no fixed abode, pleaded gulty to assaulting a constable, resisting an officer in the execution of their duty and two charges of criminal damage.
He will serve 26 weeks in prison after the court activated a suspended sentence imposed for previous offences.
District Inspector Iwan Jones from North Wales Police said: "Any abuse directed towards emergency workers is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
"Our officers come to work each day to keep the public safe, and they deserve to carry out their duties without fear of assault."
"We will continue to take robust action against anyone who threatens the safety of our officers or the wider community."
