Detectives say the death of a man in the Pwllheli area is no longer being treated as suspicious.
A local man arrested in connection with the death on Saturday afternoon has been released without charge.
North Wales Police says a file will be prepared for the local coroner with an inquest expected to be held in due course.
Neighbourhood officers stepped up patrols in the area following the death to provide reassurance - with the force saying there was no ongoing threat to the community.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said on Sunday evening: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the gentleman who has passed away.”
”We would also like to thank the community of Pwllheli for their patience and understanding whilst our enquiries were conducted in the area.”
