A series of drop-in sessions will be held across Gwynedd as part of an ongoing consultation on a potential tourism tax.
The county council is seeking views on introducing a visitor levy, which could be introduced as early as October 2027.
Welsh Government legislation means that from next year, councils will be able to charge £1.30 per person per night for overnight stays in most accommodation, including hotels, and 75p in campsites and hostels.
Cyngor Gwynedd says introducing the fees would support "a more sustainable visitor economy" for the county.
Similar public consultations are also being held by neighbouring Anglesey and Conwy councils.
Four drop-in sessions are being held this week at the following locations:
- Wednesday 8th July: Neuadd Dyfi Community Hall, Aberdyfi - 10am-12pm
- Wednesday 8th July: Byw'n Iach Penllyn (Leisure Centre), Bala - 2-4pm
- Friday 10th July: Neuadd Abersoch Village Hall, Abersoch - 10am-12pm
- Friday 10th July: Neuadd Dwyfor, Pwllheli - 2-4pm
A Cyngor Gwynedd spokesperson said: "We are more than halfway through the consultation period and there is still plenty of time for people to have their say. Obtaining feedback will help councillors to make an informed decision about this important matter."
"The tourism sector is a vital part of the Gwynedd economy and has an impact on our communities, so it's important that everyone has the chance to share their opinions."
The consultation, which is open until Sunday 26th July, can be found on the Cyngor Gwynedd website with copies also available from local libraries and the Siop Gwynedd locations in Caernarfon, Pwllheli and Dolgellau.
A separate consultation, run by Anglesey Council, runs until Monday 13th July. It can be found on the council's website with hard copies and backgound information also available at local libraries and leisure centres, as well as the county offices in Llangefni and at Oriel Môn.
